About the Blade Bait

A thin, flat metal lure with a lead-weighted head that vibrates intensely when lifted and dropped. The blade bait is a cold-water weapon — when water temps drop below 55°F and fish get lethargic, the tight vibration of a blade bait triggers reaction strikes that nothing else can. Vertical jigging with short, sharp rips and controlled drops. The strike almost always comes on the fall. Use it on steep bluffs, channel edges, and deep points.
