Fishing Knot Guide
Form a loop (loop A) with the tag end, holding it between thumb and forefinger.
Form a second loop (loop B) in front of loop A.
Pass the tag end between the two loops.
Bring loop B through loop A from behind.
Wet and pull loop B while holding the tag end to tighten.
The perfection loop is most useful on the leader end for loop-to-loop connections.
Pro Tip
Use two perfection loops (one on your mainline leader and one on your tippet/fly leader) for a fast loop-to-loop connection you can swap in seconds on the water.
The Perfection Loop is best suited for monofilament and fluorocarbon and leader connections lines. With a breaking strength of 90% line strength, it's a reliable choice for connecting your line to hooks, lures, or swivels. This knot takes a bit of practice to tie consistently, but becomes quick once you have the muscle memory.
